Your Questions...My Questions

Why does Fitzgerald delay Daisy's character?
Why does Gatsby's character seem to be full of himself in the ends of chapters 2-3?
Why does Fitzgerald choose to be similar to books that contrast?

Cheerful Red-And-White

And so it happened that on a warm windy evening
I drove over to East Egg to see two old friends whom I scarcely knew at all.
Their house was even more elaborate than I expected
A cheerful red-and-white Georgian Colonial mansion
Overlooking the bay.
The lawn started at the beach and ran toward the front door for a quarter of a mile
Jumping over sun-dials and brick walks and burning gardens
Finally when it reached the house drifting up the side in bright vines
A though from the momentum of its run.
The front was broken by a line of French windows
glowing now with reflected gold and wide open to the warm windy afternoon
And Tom Buchanan in riding clothes was standing with his legs apart on the front porch.

Could You Ever Recover From A First Impression??

A First Impression on someone could mean something very important, even if it's just the basic things like: just coming in to a new school, having to go to a job interview or in some cases, meeting the parents of the person that you hope to spend the rest of your life with.  First Impression shouldn't be something that you have to work really hard at, cause if you work really hard you could pose the wrong First Impression.  In this case you don't want to make your First Impression a impression that people wouldn't like. Like if you tried so hard to be that Team Leader at a job, but then you start to get a little bit pushy and aggressive or if you try to be that Perfect Boy/Girl friend that ever parent expects, and you end up having to provide to your partners parent that you are that Perfect Boy/Girl friend. I think it's just important to just be yourself in a situation witch you have to make a First Impression so that you wouldn't have to bind-over-backwards to recover. Overall, the answer for me is yes. You can recover from a First Impression, but it'll be difficult if the impression you give the first time was really horrible.

Mi Familia

To Be Honest.  When it comes to Family, they're always goimg to be my main Priority in life but that does not mean that i have to focuse all my attention on them all the time.  This main sound a little rude in some ways to people, but i have to have that self awareness for myself as well.  I'm not coming off as a "greedy" person, its just sometimes you need your Family and other times you "need" Yourself.  In the end, Family will always be that much more important to me then Myself.
